Each phone can have a name associated with it using up to 6 characters

All programming done from a phone is done

by "Port number"                   not Extension number
 

to find the telephones  "Port number"

Do NOT lift the handset,              Feature     4

Write down the 2, 3, or 4-digit Extension number

and the 2 digit "Port number"   that follows the word   "TEL" .

To know several or all port numbers and
extension numbers, this can be done in program 4-10.

When you get into programming, this is the same programming that the technician would use. You will have FULL ACCESS to ALL programs, so you must be cautious. Pressing the wrong sequence of buttons can instantly change how the system works.     Need help? call (08) 83339000 for assistance if unsure.

5. Display will read "PROGRAM MODE"

There are 8, 16, or 32 ROUND buttons above the dial pad.                                                        These are called      "LINE KEYS"                                                                                   Upper left is Line Key 1, Lower right is Line Key 8, 16, or 32.
 

ie: on these style handsets

If you know the port numbers, proceed to step 8.
If you want to find out the port number and extension number (program 4-10):

The far left 2 digits are the "Port number"

The far right number (2, 3, or 4 digits) is the Extension number

    CONF  to display next "Port number"  with its Extension number
 

By watching for the Extension number  you want (may not be in numerical order),           

the left side will show you the Port number        write it down 01/10:STA = 100

If a receptionist has a second device by their phone called a DSS, you will not see that port
number.
If you want to skip ahead, or go back to a port number (that you passed up), you will notice
that there is a number in the display that is flashing.
To move to the left,        *  , repeatedly if necessary.
To move to the right,     # , repeatedly if necessary.
If the flashing number is on the far left, you can enter a 2 digit Port number , and it will
show you the Extension number
 

To go to the program for changing names:
(If you were in program 4-10,     ANSWER   ANSWER )
 Display will read "PROGRAM MODE"

The display shows Port 01, Program 18, (Up to 6 characters for name).
 

    CONF  repeatedly to get to the   Port number  you want.
Use the dial pad to enter the characters.
When you press a number on the dial pad, Example 3  ,
the first time you     3  you get a capital D, the next time you get an E, F, d, e, f, 3.
When you press another button, it will shift to the next space.
If you need to use the same key again,       #  to shift to the next space.
You can use spaces by leaving it blank.

10. When you finish each name, you must     Transfer  to write it.
 

"CAUTION:" You will notice that it puts you into the next program ~ 19.
If you’re done,     Speaker   to exit,

or    1   8  to go back to name programming.

Like before, you can     CONF  to go to another port,                                                       or     *  repeatedly to enter a port number….
